McCarthy: ‘It will be hard not to hit' Pelosi with gavel if Republicans win House majority

During a fundraiser event in Tennessee, House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., said if he becomes speaker, “I want you to watch Nancy Pelosi hand me that gavel. It will be hard not to hit her with it.” A spokesman for McCarthy said he was “obviously joking.”
