Malin Åkerman and Brittany Snow tapped into their characters' dysfunctional dynamic when they announced the Netflix drama will return for another season.

“The Hunting Wives” is returning to Netflix for another season of Southern-fried secrets, sex and murder.

Malin Åkerman and Brittany Snow announced the hit drama was renewed for a second season in a hilarious social media video on Friday that tapped into the deliciously twisted vibe between their characters, alluring Texas socialite and girl group leader Margo (Åkerman) and Sophie, the wide-eyed Yankee transplant whose life goes awry after she falls under Margo’s spell (Snow).

The clip kicks off with Snow, looking like a raccoon thanks to smeared mascara, ranting into her phone as she records a video message for Åkerman.

“Do you think if you ignore me I’m just going to go away? How dare you? I lost everything because of you! You magnetic, charismatic, perfectly symmetrical, beautiful —“ Snow says before Åkerman appears on screen wrapped in a towel as she steps out of the shower.

“Hi, honey,” the Swedish-born actor coos soothingly to her co-star, who now cowers nervously out of camera in embarrassment.

“You know I know what you sound like when you breathe on the phone,” Åkerman tells her.

“That’s unfortunate,” Snow mumbles.

“Are you OK?” Åkerman asks.

Snow begins rambling, telling her co-star, “I would give anything to see you. I would give up my dignity. I would give up my morals.”

Åkerman, channeling the manipulative Margo, reassures her, “It’s just you and me, remember? I have a feeling we’re going to see each other real soon. Actually, I know we’re going to see each other really soon.”

A beat later, Åkerman is wearing a Margo-like red wig to announce in a Texas drawl, “Pack your boots and load your guns. We’re going back to Maple Brook for Season 2, baby!”

Netflix also shared the news on its Tudum website, noting that season one of the fan-favorite series, which is based on May Cobb’s 2021 novel of the same name, “ended with body bags aplenty.”

“Sophie and Margo are on the outs. But soon enough, old secrets and new foes force them back together. As they play their dangerous games, the question arises: Are they the hunters or the hunted?” Netflix asked ahead of season two.

Executive producer Rebecca Cutter said in a statement, “I’m so excited to write these amazing characters again. And I can’t wait to take the audience on another sexy, twisted, bats--- crazy ride through Maple Brook.”

Season one cast members joining Åkerman and Snow when the series returns include Jaime Ray Newman (Callie), Evan Jonigkeit (Graham) and George Ferrier (Brad).
