The Senate's party leaders aren't particularly popular with the public -- or even some candidates from their own parties -- but top allies predicted Sunday that they'll be keeping their jobs in the new Congress.
"I say that Harry Reid will run for Majority Leader and he will win with an overwhelming, very close to a majority vote," top Democrat Chuck Schumer predicted on NBC's Meet the Press.
Republican Rob Portman said that current Minority Leader Mitch McConnell will also remain at the helm of his party.
"Yeah, I think he should," Portman said when asked by moderator Chuck Todd if McConnell should keep the post.
