‘16 from 30,000: The 2016 field (mostly) doesn’t agree with Donald Trump when it comes to banning Muslims from the U.S. Benjamin Netanyahu has rejected it. But likely GOP primary voters? They are in solid support, according to a Bloomberg Politics/Purple Strategies PulsePoll. More than two-thirds of likely GOP primary voters support the policy, and more than one-third say it makes them MORE likely to vote for Trump. The numbers back up what we’ve largely heard from Trump supporters in the days after his dramatic proposal -- they are still with the GOP frontrunner and see the merits of temporarily banning Muslims from the U.S. It also throws cold water on any thinking that this could be the last straw the finally stymies Trump.
