A landslide buried a passenger bus in northern India on Friday, killing 13 people, including an Israeli man, police said.
Six people were also injured in the accident, which occurred in a remote area near Manikaran town in the mountainous state of Himachal Pradesh.
Manikaran is about 186 miles north of Shimla, the state capital.
A police official said a Nepali woman was also among the dead. Police suspect two unidentified bodies are also those of foreigners.
“Their bodies have been recovered from the debris that buried the bus,” the police official told Reuters by phone, adding that there had been 19 people in the vehicle.
Witnesses said rescuers used their hands and pickaxes to get through the rubble and take out the injured and dead.
Known for its snow-capped mountains and heavily forested valleys, Himachal Pradesh is a favorite destination for thousands of tourists, especially young backpackers.
