Like an alarm clock blaring in the dark of night, the mortar rockets fired at two U.S. Navy vessels in Jordan remind us that this is still a region in conflict.
Despite the relative order and minimal violence of the evacuation from Gaza, the Middle East is far from peaceful on the morning after.
No U.S. servicemen were injured by the missiles, which missed the ships and impacted a nearby warehouse. A group linked to Al Qaeda is believed to be responsible for the attack.
Will the war on terror now spread to this region--Israel, Jordan, the emerging "Palestine?" Or is it already there? We will discuss this on the show today.
