The "Newsweek" story is tailor made for the blogs, and what I like about the discussion on the Internet is how well rounded it is. So many viewpoints and theories, from the extreme to the conservative.
For example, Juan Cole points out that Isikoff has not retracted the story, only backed off a bit. This could indicate that the publication intends to better flush it out, somehow prove it is accurate. On the other side, Michelle Malkin's message is clear: Newsweek lied and people died.
The Web conversations are branching off into really cool sidebars, as well, like how the desecration of religious objects is far less shocking in America than in the Muslim world.
We'll discuss the story again at 5 p.m., as there really is much more that can be said.

It's exactly the kind of story that works bloggers into a frenzy. Newsweek is apologizing for some bad reporting about desecration of the Koran in Guantanamo Bay, and both sides of the blog world are reacting.
Today we'll talk to bloggers about how they are making sense of the story. Is it all right wing conspiracy, the liberal media at work, or none of the above?
We'll also tackle Hillary's new makeover. Not her hair or her suits— her politics. She seems to be leaning to the right and making some strange bedfellows, including Newt Gingrich and Rick Santorum.
