14 Oct 2009 - [tf] Modified Front_Cover_Core to add styles for the newest version of the TSM Market ticker. Shorter fields, lighter arrows, more data, etc.
7 Oct 2009 -- [tf] Modified Front_Cover_Core to shorten margin on stock field for TSM market ticker, so longer "unch" results messages fit for all three indices. I know, exciting stuff.
6 Oct 2009 -- [tf] Modified Front_Cover_Core to include Cover TSM market ticker styles.
3 Oct 2009 -- [tf] Modified Global_Core to fix Sifter issue # i1! I'm #1! I'm #1. I added 5px additional padding to the left margin of the DColumn sponsored link ads!
3 Oct 2009 -- [tf] Modified the script behind the LN+W slice to show non-truncated headlines, after thorough testing under our Debug parameter, and the approval of stakeholders. Noted to MOS in change-log; noted via e-mail to stakeholders. Via la long-form text!
5 Sep 2009 - [tf] Modified the script behind the LN+W slice to have a non-truncated version, based on our Debug parameter. I'll test it during the upcoming week, and if we like the effect I'll roll it out next Fixit Friday evening. Noted it for MOS in the change-log, too.
2 Sep 2008 - [crs] Changed live 76 of 21731496 from:

15 Jul 2008 -- [tf] More modifications to Global_Core for MS Content Ad layout changes. But the page loading behavior is so much improved, I could do this all day.
9 Jul 2008 -- [tf] Modified Global_Core to contain Ad standardizing CSS for Kanoodle and MSN Ad network ads for Fronts, Subsection Fronts, Stories and to cover the pre-release styles and markup for MSN Ads. Lots of small, irritating changes to shoddy markup. The new markup will be glorious!
19 Jun 2008 -- [tf] Modifed Global_Core to correct #nbc .item2, #nbc .item2H" spacing for FF on PC/Mac. Changing the margin-left for all li elements in the top nav to 0.6em from 0.7em. Woo! Such daring and charm.
12 Jun 2008 -- [tf] Modified Today Show's wrapper footer to put MSNBC.com to lower-case. Change made to Today's weird partner wrapper thingy.
10 Jun 2008 -- [sm] Pulled msnbc-logo out of sitewrapper level and created a flexifield proxy in its place. This way parent level SD's for custom header treatments with either smaller msnbc logos or multiple logos can alter sizes and urls as needed. The flexifield name is msnbc-logo and the CDATA id for the generic msnbc-logo is 21140427
9 Jun 2008 -- [tf] Duplicated the work below from 14 May, since the .grid .sR bkg img returned for all versions of IE. IE seems to prefer over-specifying the background-image override. Unless we accidentally reverted that code, IE picks which specifics it wants to see. Hrumph.
6 Jun 2008 -- [tf] Cover weatherbadge is now set to SF; personalization link changed to 'Change' and red (for a week); changes to get local & weatherbadges to align right in IE & IE-6. Modified Entertainment front to rock new 10-ranged slices. Changed img and CSS for the Weather.com logo embedded in the LN+W slice on the cover to use the correct image and align correctly in all browsers. Busy day. I'd like to go home now.
30 May 2008 -- [tf] Modified HTML40.css to correct the Live Search badge on all search pages for IE8, IE6 and the logo location for FF, Safari and smoketested all browsers. Checked the change through MOS's change tool. Got autoapproval; rawk.
22 May 2008 -- [cs] Modified HTML40.css rule for tabbox container extentions to limit the effect of the Mac rule to just Firefox 2 to correct thelast headline being cut off in Firefox 3. Changed .Mac .tab .story {margin-top: .7em;} to .Mac.Firefox-2 .tab .story {margin-top: .7em;}
21 May 2008 -- [cs] Modified GLOBAL_CORE.css rule to adjust the background graphic in Firefox 3 Changed #bottomGradient {display:block; margin-top:-347px;} to #bottomGradient {display:block; margin-top:-371px;}
14 May 2008 -- [tf] Modified HTML40.css to suppress background image for .IE .grid .sR (the right-side grid border). The background-suppression stopped working for .IE a while back -- no known cause. Fix tested across all major browsers on live cover. (Used Change Tool.)

[lw] updated the global with column width adjustment....then switched it back, b/c it broke media links. wheeeee.
12 May 2008 -- [tf] Modified ICON.css to suppress underlines/border-bottom for all our media-type icons and the 'new', 'updated' flags. Got MOS to flush graphics, and flush the CSS. Should be rockin' the new flags universally by mid-afternoon. (Used Change Tool.)
08 May 2008 -- [tf] Added our first jQuery script to the cover. It scrapes the URL out of the img tags of the video teases within the Advertorial section of the cover's Spotlight advertising slice, and replaces the text links in the same columns. The Workbench workflow to correct the custom video player front URLs was prohibitive, and the vPlayer() script is not yet able to take in arguments for a custom player front. In the meantime, jQuery can do the lifting, and we also are finally using the installation on the Cover! Woo! We're now a jQuery shop, I suppose.
24 Apr 2008 -- [tf] Modified front cover core css to add a few more lines of code in advance of the "spotlight" pseudo-slice. The .sum class was doing some fun stuff to the height and display. Also, since this is ad-related, our team gets a percentage of all revenue, right?
23 Apr 2008 -- [lw] Modified front cover css to include the layout styles for the sponsored slice which will appear at the bottom of the cover. C Morris will be updating at the minimum semi-weekly. All associated WB docs are in Sections > zRedesign > Slices > Sales. .pdf instructional sheet for sales tk.
11 Apr 2008 -- [tf] Modified CSS for Local News + Weather section slice to fit new Weather.com logo for 6-condition reporting. New graphic uploaded and ready. Awaiting CSS implementation after CSS caching clears, then I'll swap the graphic to the new size. This thread was 5 months long, with many lengthy delays. Argh.
13 Mar 2008 -- [tf] Added jQuery to all major SiteWrappers of msnbc.com and nbcsports, using the minified version. Asked MOS to watch page weight over Friday and the weekend. Also just got back from another great trip to SXSW! Ask Shezad for his write-up if you're curious.
13 March 2008 -- [tf] Modified the timestamp pretty-print to better fit in IE7's width for fronts with longer breadcrumbs (lookin' at you, Technology & science). Also moved it into the site-wide JS collection, and segmented the file structure appropriately. Non-compressed backup is in effect. Got Ashley to look up AP day/month abbreviation style, which was a fun journalistic dork-out moment.
07-11 Mar 2008 -- [tf] Tiff & Shezad out at SXSW. Lisa's holding down the fort with style.
05 Mar 2008 -- [tf] Replaced Biz Front databox-driven scripts with new JS components using our new filing structure. Verified they improved load time; verified we have backups. Biz Front's rockin' the latest Service and abstraction.
01 Mar 2008 -- [tf] Replaced cover DataboxService and client-side JS components with a new version that makes better use of error messaging for both users and MOS. Changes also include some visual improvements for the My News sports chunk, too. Beyond the cover, the new service also powers the cover/biz market tickers, and the biz front's market badge. Will also power the local subsection front badges. ...MOS, don't forget, the magic code is bug=de.
20 Feb 2008 -- [tf] Added Oscars slicelet to cover Entertainment section slice. Looks glamorous, dahling. Instantly starting work on a grid-fed slicelet engine based on a similar object-oriented architecture to our databoxes.
15 Feb 2008 -- [tf] Added a decent chunk of the prep work and variable declarations for the Local Subsection Front weather badges, including a new subsection front flexifield and variable docs for each affiilate.
14 Feb 2008 -- [tf] Added basic styles for JS-driven slicelets to Production fcc.css. Getting ready for the Oscars.
28 Jan 2008 -- [tf] Adding revised search results CSS classes to Production html40.css. Current CSS overrides are set "behind" a leading preface class which must be added to activate new CSS. That will protect current search results until that class is specifically added. (Also adding tags to Production CSS files for easier reading in Firebug.) Lastly, the state of the union speech is annoying. Too many breaks for insincere clapping.
14 Jan 2008 -- [tf] With R.25, removed 3 newsmenu override scripts (21588166, 22119282, 21701339) from all sitewrapper instances. Verified std.js takes over for them. Added deprecation notes to those files, and cleared all dependencies. (Did all that at 3 a.m. right as R.25 completed.)
