MSNBC.com Sales Team Expands, Gains New Leadership
New Vice President & East Coast Sales Manager Support Growing Demand
For Immediate Release – MSNBC.com, the leader in breaking news and original journalism on the Internet, announces the promotion of Kyoo Kim to Vice President, Sales and the addition of Moritz Loew as East Coast Sales Manager.
A graduate of the University or Washington, Mr. Kim previously served as Director of Ad Sales for MSNBC.com and has been with the company for more than three years. Mr. Loew moves to New York to represent MSNBC.com, having previously held sales positions in Redmond, WA for MSN. He is a graduate of Arizona State University.
“Kyoo has provided great momentum for MSNBC.com in the past three years,” said Charlie Tillinghast, General Manager and Publisher of MSNBC.com. “Under his leadership our ad revenues have grown tremendously. His ability to build and maintain strong relationships across the sales chain, rapid response to requests, and creative advertising ideas was a key factor in selecting Kyoo for this role.”
With Mr. Kim and Mr. Loew in their respective positions, the MSNBC.com advertising and sales team is fully staffed and prepared to go after the company’s most aggressive sales goal in years.
“Though online media carries a small share of the marketing mix, I believe it is only a matter of time before marketers realize the power of sites like MSNBC.com,” said Mr. Kim. “It is exciting to provide businesses with a marketing channel that has the potential to create a higher monthly reach accumulation than the top 10 newspapers combined.”
In his new role at MSNBC.com, Mr. Kim will lead advertising sales efforts, including development of new revenue channels. Mr. Loew, in turn, is responsible for generating new business opportunities on the East Coast, collaborating with the MSN sales force, and serving as the "face" of MSNBC.com within the New York advertising community.
