The National Weather Service has issued another flood warning for central Maryland and D.C.

The National Weather Service in Sterling, Va., has issued a flood watch for flash flooding for central Maryland and the District of Columbia.

Meteorologists say the watch is in effect until 8 p.m., Wednesday.

Besides the District, the watch includes these Maryland counties: Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Carroll, Frederick, Harford, Howard, Montgomery and Prince George's.

Storm Center4 meteorologist Tom Kierein said heavy rains and thunderstorms with the possibility of hail are expected Wednesday afternoon and evening.

He said the areas of central Maryland, which have received significant rainfall over the past two days and D.C. will be at risk for flash flooding as storms move across the area through 8 p.m. this evening.
