Economy adds 74,000 jobs, jobless rate falls

The U.S. economy added 74,000 jobs in December, the Bureau of Labor Statistics reported Friday. The unemployment rate fell to 6.7%.

Participation in the labor force in December declined slightly to 62.8%, according to the jobs report.
