Americans had the opportunity to start signing up for Obamacare on Oct. 1, but website glitches have caused widespread outrage and heated debates among leaders around the country. Both users and insurance providers have reported experiencing issues when visiting HealthCare.gov.

There have been website disasters in the private industry as well, David Axelrod said on the show. But the opportunity for Americans to have health care “standards,” including prescription coverage and pre-existing care, are positive aspects of the rollout.

“My suggestion is let’s make this work,” said Axelrod, former senior adviser to President Obama. “Rather than concentrating on how we can run this thing down, let’s talk about how we can make it work.”
