EUGENE, Ore. (KMTR) - Valley River Center once again presents their annual car seat safety clinic Saturday, June 22.
Most child car seats are incorrectly installed and a stop at the clinic can help save a child’s’ life.
Certified child passenger safety technicians will help install and check the installation of child safety seats Saturday, June 22 in the front parking lot of the shopping center between JC Penney and Firestone Tires.
The annual event was started by Eugene Police Officer Chris Kilcullen five years ago and will continue in his memory.
The majority of the technicians are the officers who rode with Kilcullen and they are each committed to continuing the event about which he was so passionate.
The annual event is held prior to the 4th of July holiday when so many people take to the highways for a long weekend.
Valley River Center is proud to partner with the Eugene Police Department, ACTS of Oregon and Bi-Coastal Media to help ensure the safety of children when riding in cars.
