Before the reorganization, distribution and customer service reported to AEP management in Columbus. State presidents focused primarily on legislative and regulatory issues.

The changes go into effect June 1.

The regional utility divisions and presidents are:

_ AEP-Ohio, Kevin Walker, president and chief operating officer. Walker is currently vice president, maintenance and construction with Consolidated Edison in New York.

_ Appalachian Power, Dana Waldo, president and chief operating officer. Waldo is currently president and chief executive of the West Virginia Roundtable. He previously served as AEP's state president for West Virginia.

_ Indiana-Michigan Power, Marsha Ryan, president and chief operating officer. Ryan is currently AEP's senior vice president of customer operations.

_ Kentucky Power, Tim Mosher, president. Mosher is currently AEP's state president for Kentucky.

_ AEP-Texas, Charles Patton, president and chief operating officer. Patton is currently AEP's state president for Texas.

_ Public Service Company of Oklahoma, Stuart Solomon, president and chief operating officer. Solomon is currently AEP's vice president of public policy and regulatory services.

_ Southwestern Electric Power Company, Nick Akins, president and chief operating officer. Akins is currently AEP's vice president of energy marketing services.

The presidents for utilities in AEP's eastern states will report to Holly Koeppel, executive vice president of AEP Utilities-East. In AEP's western states, presidents will report to Tom Hagan, executive vice president of AEP Utilities-West.

Shares of AEP stock recently traded at $30.79, down 0.61 percent, on the New York Stock Exchange.
