Church of Scientology statement

The Church regrets that NBC chooses to air unfounded allegations from two excommunicated former members. They are shamefully exploiting a personal family matter to further their hatred. That they disagree with the religion's Founder and seek to alter Scripture is certainly not newsworthy.

What is news is that the Church of Scientology continues to grow -- unsurprisingly, it has doubled in size since the departure of these individuals. Further the Church continues to serve its communities and to extend its help through drug education and rehabilitation, tutoring and education, criminal reform, human rights awareness and restoring morals -- all to make the world a better place for all.

Curiosity is best filled by finding truth, broadly available in the public information centers in our Churches and through the hundreds of videos and thousands of pages of information describing our beliefs and practices online at www.scientology.org.
