The result is "Mass Effect Infiltrator," a space shooting adventure that pits a lone agent against the group he formerly worked for.

You control Randall Ezno, a well-armed soldier who turns on his longtime employer Cerberus when he finds out what kind of experiments they’re performing at their base. He sets out to stop them, wielding a number of weapons that include assault rifles and a neon-lit Omniblade.

The game has two modes when it comes to action. The first involves movement, as you direct Ezno around the battlefield, occasionally taking cover from incoming fire and plotting your next move. The second part has you tapping on a target that appears on the screen, then using the controls for pinpoint shooting. It’s here that players are bound to get the most joy out of the game, killing off enemies with utmost precision.

Finding a comfort zone between the two types of gameplay takes a little while, since they’re so different. However, once you get into it, you’ll find "Mass Effect Infiltrator" to be a rewarding game experience, and a lot of fun. It also pays you back for your efforts, with in-game currency that can be used to purchase better weapons and additional “biotic” powers, such as an improved Omniblade.

"Mass Effect" is stunning in its presentation — spreading across 30 different levels, both indoor and out. The animations are impressive, especially when Ezno stabs someone up close, throwing their body to the ground.

" Mass Effect Infiltrator  " delivers a fair share of enjoyment for the $10 price tag. You can save the galaxy without leaving the comfort of your living room.

RATING: 3.5 / 5
