Suspects Arrested for a String of Robberies

Two suspects are under arrest, who are responsible for 22 robberies in Little Rock. Police say 37 year old Tim Martin and 32 year old Andre Ussery are responsible for 22 robberies together. They robbed several Exxon, Church's Chicken, Dollar General, and Walgreens locations. "These individuals were looking for money for drugs. When you rob a convenience store, you get little money and that's why they have to do it over and over again, to keep getting funds to push the habit," Lt. Terry Hastings with the Little Rock Police Department said. Lt. Terry Hastings with the Little Rock Police Department says Martin and Ussery have been responsible for a large amount of the robberies in Little Rock in the past month. "We've had a spike in robberies in the past month or so, and it's because of these individuals. These guys were robbing these stores for drugs. they needed money for drugs," Hastings said. Police say Andre Ussery is charged with eleven counts of aggravated robbery and eleven counts of theft of property. Timothy Martin is charged with six counts of aggravated robbery and six counts of theft of property. Both are being held without bond. "We are very thankful to get these individuals off the street. These guys were armed and aggressive in some of their robberies. We're very lucky we didn't have a homicide by one of these individuals," Lt. Hastings said. Lt.
