(Eugene-AP) -- The American Civil Liberties Union of Oregon announced Thursday that two same-sex weddings will take place in Eugene this weekend.

Both couples were issued their marriage licenses in Multnomah County.

Doctor Sarah Hendrickson and Gretchen Miller have been together for 24 years and have three children.

And Kent Kullby and Tim Smith have been together for 13 years. Last year, they became the first gay couple to sign up with Eugene's domestic partnership registry.

Both couples will be wed on Saturday.
