It is very easy to send us video or still photos you’ve shot with your smart phone (iPhone, Android, etc.), Flip Cam, or personal camera. Basically, you get the original quality video or picture files from the device onto a computer and then use MCDS to send them to us. Please follow our MCDS submission guidelines here.
Shooting tips:
Cameras in these devices tend to produce very shaky video. Do your best to minimize that while shooting. Hold the camera with both hands. Be conscious of being smooth and steady while shooting. If you choose to move the camera, do so gradually and slowly.
The microphones aren’t great, so try to be close to your subject and avoid really noisy environments if possible.
