HARRISBURG, Pa., April 26, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Tower Bancorp, Inc. (Nasdaq:TOBC) announced today the naming of Mark Ritter to the position of 1N Bank division president and CEO of Graystone Wealth Management. In this capacity, Ritter will be responsible for leading the 1N Bank division of Graystone Tower Bank, as well as the strategic and operational leadership of the Graystone Wealth Management division.

(Nasdaq:TOBC) announced today the naming of Mark Ritter to the position of 1N Bank division president and CEO of Graystone Wealth Management. In this capacity, Ritter will be responsible for leading the 1N Bank division of Graystone Tower Bank, as well as the strategic and operational leadership of the Graystone Wealth Management division.

A 24-year veteran in the financial services industry, both in the banking and wealth sectors, Ritter was most recently with Metro Bank where he served as the executive vice president and chief operating officer. Prior to that, he worked as the president and chief executive officer for Sterling Financial Trust Company, an affiliate of Sterling Financial Corp. He received his B.A. in International Economics from George Washington University. He is also a graduate of the American Bankers Association National Graduate Trust School and holds the designation of a Certified Trust and Financial Advisor.

Ritter serves as a Board member on the Boards of the Modern Transit Partnership and the PA Dutch Council Boy Scouts of America. He is also involved in a number of other organizations, including the Lancaster Chamber, Pennsylvania Bankers Association, and St. Leo the Great Church. He currently resides in Landisville, Pennsylvania with his family.
