(OTCBB:NNAN) (Frankfurt:N3N) ( www.naturalnano.com ), announced today the issuance of a US patent covering methods for optimizing the processes used to incorporate NaturalNano's Halloysite Natural Tubes (HNTs) in polymers. US Patent 7,888,914 covers the methods NaturalNano developed to optimize HNT performance over a wide array of plastic manufacturing processes.

Use of HNTs in traditional plastics manufacturing processes requires specialized treatment of the raw materials and use of surface-treatment chemistry to further improve physical properties. NaturalNano has developed a two-stage "master batch" process for the incorporation of HNTs that provides more uniform mixing and distribution. This in turn increases performance of components, adhesives, and other coatings manufactured under this process.
