Police in Lincoln are investigating an alleged sex assault that landed the attacker in the hospital early Monday morning.
Authorities said a 20-year-old woman had a gathering at her apartment with friends and family. After several hours of drinking, everyone laid down to sleep, police said. The woman was lying on the living room floor when one of the party attendees started touching her inappropriately, according to police.
The woman repeatedly told him no, but he became more aggressive, authorities said. She ended up kicking him away, and then struck him in the head four times with a frying pan she grabbed from the kitchen.
The suspect, a 23-year-old Lincoln man, was taken to the hospital for his injuries. CT scans show he received orbital and nasal fractures.
Police said citations are pending, and the man remains in the hospital for treatment.
