A burglar left a puzzling scene at a home on Golf Villa Drive in Fort Myers. Part of the house was covered in feathers.

On Monday, a woman checking on her neighbor's house found it had been burglarized and called the Lee County Sheriff's Office.

She also noticed the hallway and bedroom were covered in feathers, reports said.

The deputy noted there were feathers on the bed, floor and ceiling fan blades, as though someone had a pillow fight, reports said.

The deputy checked the pillows in the bedroom. They were intact and constructed of foam, reports said.

While searching the home, the deputy noted the sliding glass door was open about two inches, but did not appear damaged.

Nothing appeared to be taken, but the homeowner couldn't check everything at the time of the report.
