CORONA DEL MAR, Calif., Jan. 24, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- ActionView International, Inc. (Pink Sheets:AVEW) today announced that its World Championship Full Contact series is planning to hold several live events in western Canada during 2011.
Joe Wooten, CEO of ActionView, commented, "We are excited to announce that the WCFC is coming to Canada. Canada is a country passionate about mixed martial arts with a huge fan base. We have been working closely with MMAmadhouse, the premier name in Canadian combat sports, to introduce the WCFC to Canada. With the high Internet traffic generated by MMAmadhouse and their strong radio presence, we can hit the ground running. We are finalizing dates and expect to announce the first event, to be held in British Columbia, shortly after our Boise, Idaho event January 29th."
Mr. Wooten also revealed what fans can expect from the WCFC both for live events as well as live broadcasts, "Now that we have successfully tested our television quality live-streaming technology, we are working to bring a steady stream of live content to our fans. Our recent deal with Buddhasport, which kicks off with our live broadcast of the sold out Matt Serra training seminar on February 19th, is the first of several deals we are working on to deliver top quality third party live content.
"However, we are also committed to building our brand by continuing to put on live events. Our fans have deservedly come to expect exciting fights and high-quality production, so we want to continue that tradition by holding several live events during 2011. In addition to bringing the WCFC to Canada, we will begin holding events in Southern California and New Jersey. Finally, we expect to have the first WCFC title belt awarded in late Spring when we stage a tournament style event with the winner being declared WCFC champion."
