Authorities say a woman and her three children found dead in a partially burned home in southern Indiana had all been shot in the head.

Indiana State Police spokesman Sgt. Jerry Goodin said in a statement Saturday that detectives will not release "any type of determination of the facts" until test results and interviews are complete.

The bodies were found Friday in Austin, about 35 miles north of Louisville, Ky. Goodin said the medical examiner identified them as 30-year-old Amanda Bennett, her 14-year-old daughter Jasmine Abbott, her 9-year-old daughter Katelynn Bennett and her 4-year-old son Ryan Bennett.

Autopsies showed all four were shot in the head. Preliminary findings show Amanda and Katelynn Bennett died from their head wounds and smoke inhalation while the two others died from their head wounds.
