Saturday morning taking aim on parts of Kansas. Already this morning, some light freezing rain and sleet has been reported in northwestern and north central portions of the state, but the better chances will arrive tonight and Sunday.
Freezing drizzle is expected to develop across central Kansas beginning after sunset and may put a glazing of ice on many locations from Hays to Great Bend to Hutchinson to Wichita and areas north and east. By Sunday morning, everything should change over to light snow and flurries with up to an inch on the ground along and north of I-70 in northwestern and north central Kansas. Light snow and flurries will continue to fall on Sunday, ending from west to east and by the end of the day, up to 2" could be on the ground in extreme northeastern portions of the KSN viewing area.
Those with travel plans Saturday night and Sunday should watch out for slick spots on sidewalks and roads, allow extra time and use extra caution.
