MEMPHIS, Tenn., Jan. 19, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Vicky B. Gregg has been elected to the board of directors of First Horizon National Corp. (NYSE:FHN). Gregg, 56, is chief executive officer of BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee, a provider of group and individual health insurance plans, products and services headquartered in Chattanooga, Tenn.

Gregg's background includes clinical care, hospital administration, long-term care and more than 25 years of experience in health care benefits and financing. She served as president and CEO of Volunteer State Health Plan, a subsidiary of BCBST and one of the largest Medicaid health maintenance organizations in the country. Before joining BCBST Gregg was Humana's regional vice president for Kentucky and Ohio. She has served on several appointed commissions including the Governor's Roundtable.
