Germano joined Pfizer from Wyeth, where he was president, U.S. and Pharmaceutical Business Units. Germano has held diverse positions in his more than 25 years in the pharmaceutical industry, including executive vice president and general manager for Wyeth Global Vaccines; managing director, Wyeth Australia and New Zealand; and executive vice president and general manager of the Wyeth Pharmaceutical Business Unit. Prior to joining Wyeth, Germano held leadership positions at several Johnson & Johnson companies. He has led numerous key product launches in primary and specialty care in gastroenterology, arthritis, infectious diseases, hemophilia, transplantation and oncology.
Germano serves on the Advisory Board of the Healthcare Businesswomen's Association, is a member of the Board of the Biotechnology Industry Organization and is a Trustee of the Albany College of Pharmacy, where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy in 1983.
