New Door Design Touts Exclusive Features

VENICE, Fla., Jan. 11, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- PGT Industries (Nasdaq:PGTI), the nation's leading supplier of residential impact-resistant windows and doors will unveil the WinGuard® Impact-Resistant SGD 570, Vinyl SGD 470, and PremierVue® SGD 2870 at the 2011 International Builder's Show (IBS) January 12 – 15 in Orlando, FL at Booth #W5959.

This new platform of vinyl sliding glass doors is unique because they can be ordered with up to four vinyl tracks and as tall as ten feet high. Another feature exclusive to the new design will enable builders and installers to reconfigure the door in the field with interchangeable and reversible panel interlocks. Panels can be installed or removed from the interior or exterior, so condo applications are simple. Design pressure performance starts at +/-60 and goes as high as +100/-100.The doors can be ordered with one panel or with up to eight panels as by-pass or pocket doors.

Additional features of the Series 470, 570 and 2870 sliding glass doors include: dual point mortise locking hardware; choice of raised handles or recessed pulls; roller assembly options: 2 1/8" wheels as either tandem steel wheels, tandem stainless wheels or tandem nylon wheels; and replaceable sill tracks.
