NEW YORK, Jan. 11, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- City National Bank announced today that it has opened a second office in Manhattan – a Times Square office that will enable the company to better serve the many entrepreneurs, professional service firms and private banking clients who reside or do business in New York.

City National opened its first New York office in December 2002, and since then the loans and deposits at this Park Avenue location have grown to more than $1 billion. City National offers a broad range of private and business banking and wealth management services to its clients, including those in the entertainment industry and in law firms, accounting firms and business management firms that conduct business in New York as well as on both coasts.

"The addition of this new office is another indication of City National's success in and commitment to New York," said Martha Henderson, who heads City National's Entertainment Division and the bank's growing New York operations. "This further strengthens our ability to meet the needs of clients who do business on both coasts and it also will enable us to better serve a larger number of New York's entrepreneurs, attorneys, accountants, business managers, and other professionals as well as the entertainment industry."

The office is about two blocks from Rockefeller Center and will be headed by Frank Troutman, senior vice president for City National in New York. The senior manager will be Jean Haynes, client services manager.

The new office will also serve the bank's Broadway clients. City National currently delivers custom banking services to about one-third of the shows on Broadway, including "The Merchant of Venice," "Driving Miss Daisy" and "Mamma Mia!" Its services range from cash management to foreign exchange and letters of credit. City National also provides wealth management services for individuals involved in the shows, and is known for personal service.
