(Nasdaq:INVE) (Frankfurt:INV), a provider of products, services and solutions for the security, identification and RFID industries, today announced the appointment of Robert (Rob) Zivney to the newly created role of Vice President, Government & Standards. In this new corporate role, Zivney brings his knowledge of the evolving trends, threats and standards in the security industry to strengthen Identive Group's position as a leading player in identity management as well as physical and cybersecurity for the government sector.

Zivney is a security industry veteran with more than 35 years' marketing, sales and product management experience, including 15 years with Identive's Hirsch enterprise security business, where he served both as Vice President Marketing and most recently as Vice President Business Development. Prior to Hirsch, Zivney held positions with security companies Control Systems International (now Schneider Electric), MCC Powers (now Siemens Building Technologies) and Honeywell. He is active in several security industry organizations including the Security Industry Association (SIA) and the Smart Card Alliance and has testified before Congress on behalf of the physical security industry regarding federal security regulations such as HSPD-12 and FIPS 201. Currently Zivney serves on the Board of Directors of SIA and as Chair of the Security Industry Standards Council. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin.
