TAMPA, Fla., Jan. 4, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Kona Grill will kick off their "1st Thursdays" events this Thursday, January 6, 2011 in their Tampa location located in the MetWest International Plaza. This month's theme, Fire and Ice, will include a fire dancer and salsa band, as well as Kona Grill 's award-winning sushi, appetizers and cocktails.
Coming off the heels of their successful first anniversary celebration in November, Kona Grill was inspired by the 400+ attendees and decided to plan First Thursday events for all of 2011.
" Kona Grill 's 1st Thursdays" will be themed events with live acts and music, exclusive menu and beverage models, open bar, Kona's New American cuisine, promotional giveaways and prizes from local businesses. All-inclusive tickets will be sold in advance and at the door.

The Menu: Featuring Kona Grill's New-American cuisine, guests will enjoy Sweet and Spicy Shrimp, Korean BBQ Chicken Satay, Mini Jerk Chicken Sandwich, "5-Spiced Tuna," Potstickers, Veggie and Steak Flatbreads. Kona Grill's Sushi bar will present Fiery Shrimp Roll with Habanero Sauce, Spicy Tuna Rolls, Assorted Sushi and Sashimi (tuna, salmon, shrimp and crab), and Oysters on the Half-shell served with Ponzu and Green Onions. Featured wine pours will include Chateau St. Michelle Chardonnay, and Pinot Evil Pinot Noir. Draft Beer will include Kona Longboard and Magic Hat #9.
