LUBBOCK, Texas, Dec. 10, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Please join representatives from the Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas (FHLB Dallas) and officials from American Bank of Commerce, American State Bank, Lubbock National Bank, and Security State Bank on Tuesday, December 14, 2010, as each financial institution presents a Partnership Grant Program (PGP) award to the Coalition of Community Assistance Volunteers, Inc. (CCAV).
The combined PGP funds totaled at $20,000, and will be used to assist with monthly operating costs so that CCAV may continue to expand its services and provide free income tax preparation and e-filing to low-to-moderate income individuals and families living in Lubbock and the surrounding areas.
Partnership grants are available through FHLB Dallas member institutions on a first-come, first-served basis to provide funding for operational needs of community-based organizations involved in affordable housing and community development. In 2010, FHLB Dallas awarded $225,000 in PGP grants through its member institutions to qualified organizations throughout its five-state District of Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Mississippi, and Texas.
