WASHINGTON, Dec. 8, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- In a landmark vote on December 3, 2010 Congress passed the Healthy Hunger-Free Kids Act to be signed by the President. This will become the first piece of legislation to provide $4.5 billion over the coming years for healthy, nutritious school meals, healthy vending programs and to fight childhood obesity.
