A new scam has hit Facebook that promises to show a video of an 11-year-old boy going “beserk” after being expelled from school.

The link is titled, “OMG! Look What this Kid did to his School after being Expelled!” Instead of showing the footage, however, the link, when clicked on, first direct users to “Like” and share the video with their friends.

Users are then presented with a survey, which they also must fill out before seeing the video. But as the security firm Sophos points out, there is no video, and the survey is simply a way for the social networking scammers to make money. And it seems to be working: the video has become viral, spreading to more than 53,000 Facebook users.
