The Driver Responsibility Program was created by the Texas Legislature in 2003 to support the Texas Trauma System with financial resources for uncompensated care. It is intended to hold bad drivers accountable for the human damage they cause — frequently sending innocent people to hospital emergency centers, such as Memorial Hermann, with life-threatening injuries.

A portion of the fines collected through red light camera violations go into a fund to offset a portion of the costs of uncompensated trauma care in designated hospitals, including Memorial Hermann, across the state. Last year, the Red Light Camera Program provided millions of dollars to support Texas Trauma Centers.

Help Memorial Hermann keep saving lives by voting "Yes" on Proposition 3.
