Hot enough for you?
It's not the sort of thing one often hears in the middle of autumn, but it's apropos in the Midwest right now.
Cities around the region saw record highs for the day set or tied on Saturday, The Weather Channel reported.
Rockford, Ill., saw 90 degrees, breaking the record for the date of 84, set in 1920.
It was also 90 in Rochester, Minn., breaking the record of 80 set in 2003. In La Crosse, Wisc., the high of 85 broke a record that had stood since 1879.
And the hot weather extended to the South. In Vicksburg, Miss., the mercury hit 94 degrees, eclipsing the mark for the date of 90, set in 1963. And Little Rock, Ark., saw 92 — a tick above the record of 91 set in 1963.
