PHOENIX, Oct. 4, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Mitel® (Nasdaq:MITL), a leading provider of unified communications software solutions, today announced two major enhancements to its Mitel Mobile voice and data service through Mitel NetSolutions. These enhancements provide corporate mobile users with improved efficiency and availability through increased speed of access to data services and extending the unified communications office experience to mobile users.

Mitel introduced Mobile Wireless Integration which enables users to seamlessly access their entire corporate voice network from their mobile device. This means that their mobile phone acts exactly like a desk phone, offering the same functionality and convenience as a desk phone for both inbound and outbound calls. This enables mobile workers the ability to access Mitel's award-winning portfolio of mobility, conferencing, and collaborating applications.

"Mitel has always understood the needs of the mobile user and the introduction of Mobile Wireless Integration is further proof of this," said Chris Wittrig, CIO of MOS Group, Inc. "With these new enhancements Mitel is providing total convergence between wireline and wireless networks that will enable our mobile employees to use their mobile device as if they are at their desks."

With Adaptive Mobile Connect(SM), Mitel customers can gain access to lightning-fast speeds, with hybrid 3G/4G data services. With compatible devices, Mitel now offers a bundle of services for optimal performance and convenience—and in the case of limited 4G coverage, 3G service is automatically available as a backup. Adaptive Mobile Connect also provides a disaster recovery capability should wireline service be interrupted.

"Mitel has been our communications partner for many years and we are excited to implement the new 'Adaptive Mobile Connect' from Mitel Mobile," said Jason L'Odense, IT director for Mobile Mini Inc. "The high speed data offering will enhance our business continuity strategy in the event of WAN failure and provides further reachability for our employees."

"Mitel Mobile is a convenient one-stop shop for all Mitel customers. With demand for 3G and 4G capabilities growing quickly, becoming a leader in offering hybrid 3G/4G service packaged with our unified communications solutions was the next logical step," said Jon Brinton, president of Mitel NetSolutions. "In fact, Mitel Mobile users can unify their multiple devices for all their voice and data needs; the service bundles the benefits of mobile services and the corporate voice network, all on mobile devices."

The Mitel Mobile service is generally available in the United States through Mitel NetSolutions. For more information, please visit .
