Lisa Rudolph, an award-winning television journalist, joined NBC News in January 1994 as a correspondent for "Dateline NBC." An innovative work-sharing arrangement allows her to report for "Dateline NBC" on a part-time basis and devote time to raising her children as well.
 
Rudolph has covered a wide variety of stories for "Dateline," ranging from the New Jersey teenager accused of delivering and murdering her newborn baby during her high school prom, to a special report on how a successful fashion executive's heroin addiction led her to an underground life in New York City's subway tunnels. Rudolph has also reported on such diverse stories as the "Baby Richard" custody battle; a Harlem elementary school chess club's journey to a national tournament; and "Court TV" cases including a hero police officer accused of murder.

Rudolph came to NBC News from WCBS-TV in New York, where she anchored the morning and Noon newscasts. She joined WCBS in 1982 as a writer and producer for the evening newscasts.

Rudolph has received a Gracie Allen Award for "Time Limits," the intricate story of a young woman who was forbidden to have an abortion while awaiting sentencing in jail. She has also been honored with Emmy Awards for Outstanding News Special and Best Spot News Reporting.
Prior to joining WCBS, Rudolph was as a general assignment reporter for WOKR-TV in Rochester, New York. She also served as an anchor and general assignment reporter KSAT-TV in San Antonio, Texas, in 1986. Rudolph began her television career as a producer and writer for the nationally syndicated children's news broadcast, "Assignment on the World," at WXXI-TV in Rochester.

Rudolph graduated from Columbia University with an MA in International Affairs in 1984. She received a B.A. in History from Wellesley College and graduated Phi Beta Kappa.

Rudolph resides in New York with her husband and two children, Kyra and Gabriel.
