One man has been arrested and federal authorities are searching for at least two others in the robbery and killing of an armored truck guard outside a South Florida bank, FBI officials said Sunday.

Nathaniel Moss, 31, was caught shortly after Friday's heist after the suspects crashed their getaway car into a trash bin and ran away.

FBI Special Agent John Gillies said the suspects made several mistakes that "gave an opportunity for law enforcement to react quickly." He would not elaborate on those mistakes or other details of the investigation.

Alejandro Nodarse Arencibia, a 48-year-old Brinks security guard, was shot and killed when two men approached him as he carried cash from the bank to an armored truck. More than two dozen agents combed the area following the shooting, sealing off a neighborhood and putting several schools on lockdown.

Authorities want to speak with 37-year-old Terrance Brown and a third unidentified man seen on surveillance video outside the bank trying to get into a waiting car, Gillies said. Another unidentified man is also believed to have been involved.

Agents said they have recovered two vehicles used in the robbery, as well as all the money taken. However, investigators won't say how much money had been stolen.

"It's just a senseless crime," Gillies said. "The suspects are considered armed and very, very dangerous."

Brinks is offering a $75,000 reward to anyone who comes forward with information leading to the arrest of the remaining suspects. The FBI announced an additional $25,000 reward Sunday.

Moss was charged with conspiracy, robbery and two firearms counts. FBI officials had no information on whether Moss had retained an attorney.
