A Philadelphia postal carrier has been accused of storing nearly 13,000 pieces of undelivered mail in the garage of his home.
David Blauser was charged Monday with obstructing the delivery of mail.
U.S. Attorney Zane David Memeger says over about 13 years Blauser stored 12,808 pieces of mail at his home instead of delivering it. He says it took three postal trucks to remove the mail from the home when it was discovered April 28.
All the mail eventually was delivered.
If convicted, the 42-year-old Blauser could face up to six months in jail, five years probation and a $5,000 fine. There's no published telephone number for Blauser. It's unclear if he has an attorney.
