PITTSBURGH, Sept. 20, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Inventors in the InventHelp-INPEX® New Product Showcase will have the opportunity to present their products for a chance to be on the third season of Discovery Channel's hit show, Pitchmen, at the 2010 ERA D2C Convention in Las Vegas, September 21-23. The inventor with the "best" invention chosen by Anthony Sullivan, star of the show, will take home a $2,000 cash prize.
For the second year in a row, all of the inventors in the InventHelp-INPEX® New Product Showcase will have the opportunity to meet with and be filmed by Anthony Sullivan's team and the Pitchmen crew. In addition to presenting their product to the show, each inventor will also have two minutes to pitch their products to a panel of experts in the Direct Response Television industry. The judges will pick the top inventor, crowning him or her, "Inventor of the Year."
The InventHelp-INPEX® New Product Showcase is a part of the larger 2010 Annual Electronic Retailing Association's Conference & Exposition held at the Wynn Hotel. The 20th Annual D2C Convention is where the industry's technology innovators, manufacturers, buyers and marketers meet to network and learn about trends in the direct-to-consumer marketplace. With already over 3,100 registered attendees, this year's show is on track to set a new attendance record.

The second season of the show, which follows TV's most famous infomercial pitchman, Anthony "Sully" Sullivan, premiered on Thursday, August 19, on the Discovery Channel, and airs every Thursday at 9/8 Central. With last summer's sudden death of Billy Mays, this second season features Sullivan touring the country, holding "Pitch-a-thons," looking for inventors with products to market.
