TODAYshow.com, the web site of the leading morning news broadcast, is looking for an experienced Video Producer/Editor to help refine and grow our online video programming. We seek an individual who can collaborate with online teams and the broadcast unit to increase the quantity and improve the quality of our daily video content and presentation. This team member will support all sections of TODAY.com to produce, shoot, write, edit and publish compelling video content.

You will also collaborate with TODAY show staff to help their best non-broadcast video flow onto our site in an efficient manner. Proven news judgment, high ethical standards and good interpersonal skills are required. Demonstrated proficiency with the tools of video production is necessary. The successful candidate will be able to conduct, shoot, edit and publish compelling interviews with and packages about: TODAY anchors and correspondents, newsmakers, entertainers, chefs and others in the news. Appreciation for TODAY’s broad range of topics and personalities – from hard news to entertainment to lifestyle, celebrities and newsmakers to ordinary individuals, with a good grasp of topics and stories of high interest to women and young families – is essential. All candidates should provide links to relevant video segments they have produced. Proven video production skills, writing, editing and story-tellilng skills; effective verbal communication, team-work, organization and work-ethic are essential qualities for a successful candidate. Agility and poise under pressure, deadline discipline, an entrepreneurial, innovative spirit and passion for digital media are highly desirable.

A BA degree, particularly in Broadcast Journalism, Film, or other discipline emphasizing video storytelling is required. Strong candidates with equivalent experience and education may be considered. Minimum three years experience producing broadcast or online video content, including daily collaboration with established broadcast or cable entities is essential.

Must be able to work in a fast-paced, high-pressured, often hectic environment. Must be able to be flexible and meet deadlines while managing multiple projects. Must be self-motivated while maintaining a collaborative team orientation.
