Apple said Monday it will start selling the wireless-enabled iPad device at Apple stores and authorized resellers in China on Friday.
The devices will retail for the equivalent of $589 for the 16-gigabyte version, $707 for a 32-gigabyte version and $825 for a 64-gigabyte iPad.
In the United States, Apple sells the iPad for $499 for the 16 GB Wi-Fi version, $599 for the 32 GB version and $699 for the 64 GB version. A more expensive model that has both Wi-Fi and 3G cellular Internet service, costs $130 more for each model. China will be selling Wi-Fi only iPads.
Apple said it will continue to roll out the iPad for other countries and announce those later.
