We are looking for an Editor for our NBC News Web Team to manage, produce and enhance the Dateline NBC website, work with broadcast staff to create content that adds value to TV stories, engage viewers and provide strong editorial matter for the MSBNC.com cover. Innovate ways to expand and improve the Dateline video and interactive experience; facilitate production of Web-only video and other content. Appreciation for Datelines broad range of reporting topics crime, celebrity, and consumer reports-- is necessary. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills are required. Candidate must have an understanding of emerging technologies, social networking, and online trends, and must enjoy collaboration. The broadcast is Friday nights and Sunday nights so some odd hours will be part of the job.
Must also have a flexible schedule for breaking news situations and other live events. The position will also provide support to NBC Nightly News online as a secondary role and is located in our NYC location.
