The 15-year-old girl who authorities say was brutally attacked by another teen at a Florida middle school has left the hospital.

Family attorney Rick Freedman says Josie Lou Ratley moved to a rehabilitation facility Tuesday, about six weeks after the beating at Deerfield Beach Middle. Her feeding tube was also removed.

Fifteen-year-old Wayne Treacy is accused of punching and stomping Ratley at a campus bus stop on March 17. He's facing an attempted murder charge and has pleaded not guilty.

Ratley suffered brain damage in the assault. She still cannot walk, talk or use her right arm and fingers.

Freedman says she still has a long road ahead and it will be years before the full outcome of her injuries are known.
