“Anything that portrays calm” — that's what calls to Paul Knowles of Steamboat Springs, Colo. The real-estate photographer submitted the top-rated image in our It’s A Snap! travel photo contest.
During his off time, he looks for serene scenes, such as this shot of a horse on a buddy’s ranch outside Steamboat Springs.
Knowles captured this image close to his own doorstep, but enjoys taking photos while traveling. Earlier this year, he spent two weeks in London and Paris, and brought back an appreciation of the “architecture and the history behind it.”
As an Art History major, he said he would love to visit Italy in the near future.
Knowles doesn’t have to wait long for his next trip — he’s on it. We tracked him down in Texas, his home state, while visiting friends and family.
Before heading home, Knowles said he was heading to east Texas to visit his college town and — what else? — take photos.
