The Kansas attorney general's office has filed a revised capital murder complaint against a former Missouri city official after a fourth victim died in the case.
The complaint filed Thursday against 46-year-old James Kraig Kahler now covers the shooting deaths of not only his estranged wife and their two daughters but also her grandmother.
Kahler is accused of killing 44-year-old Karen Kahler, their 18- and 16-year-old daughters, and 89-year-old Dorothy Wight at Wight's home Nov. 28 near Topeka, Kan. Wight died last week.
Kahler is the former water department director in Columbia, Mo.
Kahler's attorney, Ron Evans, has declined comment after a brief hearing in district court. Kahler remains jailed with bail set at $10 million.
