MBTA train bumps service truck at North Station

A service truck was hit by a commuter rail train pulling into North Station on Tuesday morning.

The sewage track, which was pumping out portable toilets that were nearby for construction, was backing out onto the tracks on the Newburyport/Rockport Line.

The truck, which had no authorization to be on the tracks, was hit by the train as it approached North Station. The train was going at a slow speed when the incident occurred.

Officials said the collision was a minor accident, and there were no injuries reported.
