Mexican prosecutors says a gang of armed assailants burst into a bar in the border city of Ciudad Juarez and shot five men to death.

A spokesman for the Chihuahua state prosecutors' office says the attack took place early Monday at Gabino's, located on a main boulevard in Ciudad Juarez, across from El Paso, Texas.

Arturo Sandoval says the victims ranged in age from 25 to 30 years old.

Four men were killed six months ago in a shooting at the same bar.

Prosecutors have not established a motive in the killings.

Drug-related violence has made Ciudad Juarez Mexico's deadliest city, with more than 1,700 killings so far this year.
